2005 Surprise

It was a bit of a surprise when Kwani Experience stepped onto the scene. A group of ambitious black youth breaking musical boundaries and bridging the generation gap with a fusion of musical influences they called 'Mudaland Funk'. Funk driven movement, with rap, soul, 6/8 African indigenous sounds. 2005 was a really good year for Kwani, all over the media and award nominations.
